“woman are like teabags: you never know how strong they are until you put them in hot water” said first lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Luckily we are passed the times when women had to be more determined than ever to be heard. We are lucky enough now to be allowed to participate (not only in our own life) but the lives of others and to make a difference in this world.
As we Celebrate International women’s day today we are reminded of all the powerful woman that went before us and paved the way for the beauty of the feminine to rise. Not in a bra burning way I feel drawn to add but in an empowerment way where we can work along side the masculine and create true about balance and beauty on earth.
Mutual and compassionate support between women is an important factor as we venture further into the future. As the Dalai Lama said “the world will be saved by the western women“. No longer do we feel the need for competition but rather collaboration. No longer do we feel the need for jealousy but rather to see our fellow women ‘inspirers’ as a mirror to show us what we are also able to achieve.
Remember it is important to have dreams and aspirations in life whatever they may be. And the only way to make them a reality is through sheer determination. Sometimes dreams can feel too big to be true but as Oprah Winfrey says “just take the next step“. Little by little step-by-step you’ll build your dreams and the next thing you know you’ll be in the place that you once thought was just a pipe dream. Happy international women’s day to all the beautiful women out there. I applaud you and all that you stand for.
