Life is stressful and tiring at times, and we can easily
feel overwhelmed by negative thoughts and feelings of
anxiety. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Meditation
and mindfulness, which is based around the idea of
‘being in the present moment’, provides a set of simple
but powerful practices that can easily be incorporated
into your everyday life to help reduce symptoms of
anxiety and stress, aid relaxation and promote
happiness.
Experience the benefits of meditation and
mindfulness
This course – which comprises six 90-minute sessions, all
held at the beautiful, semi-rural Firs Farm in Curdridge
– gives you the chance to learn deep relaxation,
practice guided meditations and mindfulness exercises,
and take control of your emotions. Designed for total
beginners or those who need a refresher, it’s ideal for
anyone who is struggling to keep up with the demands of
modern life or cope with health issues – or those who
simply want to experience more peace and contentment.
Unlike many courses, this class teaches a blend of theory
and practice, equipping you with all the knowledge and
skills you need to build these practices into your
everyday life. In the first few weeks, you’ll learn
about the benefits of mindfulness, what happens in the
brain when we meditate, how the different nervous
systems regulate our emotional and physical responses,
and practice some short, simple exercises. As the weeks
progress, we’ll move on to longer periods of guided
meditation, which are designed to deepen your skills.
Learn meditation and mindfulness in a supportive,
friendly environment
Clinical trials have shown that meditation and
mindfulness has a number of benefits, including:
- Relieves anxiety and depression
- Reduces stress
- Helps relieve pain and inflammation, including back
pain
- Provides coping mechanisms for chronic conditions
like IBS
- Improves quality of life in a range of disorders and
diseases, such as fibromyalgia, MS and cancer
Previous attendees have also reported feeling more
hopeful, confident and positive after the course. For
me, this class isn’t just about teaching meditation and
mindfulness – it’s about helping people live a more
positive, peaceful life.
Please keep in mind that this is a commitment to
improving your life and wellbeing, and that it’s a
six-week course, not a quick-fix, one-off session.
Ideally, you need to attend all six sessions to get the
full benefits.
